Biography

In a career of more than 20 years as an ABA referee, judge, and official, C. W. Jackson was chosen as one of the officials for the 1936 Olympics. At the Berlin Games he had the honour of refereeing five contests, including the flyweight final between Germany’s Willi Kaiser and Italy’s Gavino Matta. Jackson was one of the three judges in the bantamweight final. In total, he officiated in one capacity or another, at 15 bouts at the Olympics.
