Biography

Raoul Righi made his refereeing début in Serie A in the 1949/50 season and, between then and November 1966, officiated in 140 matches in the top flight of Italian football. Righi also refereed the controversial 1960 Italian Cup final between Juventus and Fiorentina, which the Torino giants won 3-2 after extra-time. He was in charge of some of the top games in Italian football, including the derbies of Roma, Torina and the Juventus-Roma “classic”.
