Eskil Brodd was trained in Uppsala as a sheet metal worker and tinsmith until 1924. Later, he opened his own workshop in Stockholm. He lived north of Stockholm in Täby, where he was involved in various social organisations.
At the 1912 Olympic Games in Stockholm, Brodd competed in springboard diving but did not advance to the final. For many years, he was chairman of Viggbyholm’s Swimming Society in Täby and was awarded the silver medal of the Swedish Swimming Federation in 1956.
With his wife, Alfhild Kristina Sandberg, he had one daughter.
