Biography

Apart from Vicki Draves, who won two gold medals, Patsy Elsener of the Crystal Plunge Club, San Francisco, was the leading U.S. woman diver at the 1948 Olympics. She won the AAU indoor 3m title in 1946 and 1947. She also helped the Crystal Plunge medley relay team to a third-place finish at the 1946 AAUs. Elsener later attended Purdue University on a diving scholarship. She married Earl Homan and together they raised three children.
