Carlos Briceno played volleyball at the University of Hawai’i, graduating with a degree in communications. He played on the US National Indoor team from 1991-93, after which he moved to the beach, playing in 4-man pro beach volleyball. Briceno won nine titles on the pro beach circuit. In 1994 he won a silver medal in 2-man beach volleyball at the Goodwill Games. He later coached high school volleyball at Woodrow Wilson HS in Long Beach, California.
