Ota Zaremba had the following podium finishes at major championships: 1st in the 1980 Olympics Sub-Heavyweight class (395.0 kg); 1st in the 1980 World Championships Sub-Heavyweight class (395.0 kg). He set four sub-heavyweight world records in 1981 – two each in the snatch and total.
