Biography

Bryan Jacob was a bantam- and featherweight weightlifter who competed at the 1992 and 1996 Olympics. Jacob also competed at the 1991 and 1995 Pan American Games, winning five silver medals, two in 1991 and in all three events in 1995. Jacob competed at five World Championships (1990-91, 1993-95). He was a six-time US Senior Champion (1990-95), twice US Junior Champion (1988-89), and won golds at the US Olympic Festival in 1991 and 1993.

Jacob attended Georgia Tech and then started working for Coca-Cola as part of the Olympic Job Opportunities Program (OJOP). He eventually became the company’s energy and climate protection manager for Coca-Cola, leading their efforts to reduce the greenhouse gases created by the manufacturing process.
