Biography

Austrian wrestler Franz Hametner took part in the 1936 Berlin Olympics. He lost his Greco-Roman welterweight event first-round bout against Belgian Jean de Feu. He then withdrew from the event due to an injury. Domestically, Hametner wrestled with SV Urfahr Linz.
