Biography

Austrian wrestler Adolf Herschmann tied fifth at the 1924 Paris Olympics in the Greco-Roman bantamweight class. He won his first title at an international tournament in Wien (Vienna) in 1920. The following year he placed second at both the Wiener (Vienna) and Austrian Championships.

In 1922, Herschmann was again runner-up at the Wiener (Vienna) Championships but won the German Fighting Games at Berlin. He then won the Austrian national title in 1923 and 1924, and the Wiener (Vienna) Championships in 1925.
