Biography

Reinhold “Otto” Steingräber represented East Germany at the 1980 Moskva Olympics in freestyle wrestling as a welterweight but was eliminated in the third round with 7.0 bad points. In 1976 and 1978 he won East German titles and in 1980 was silver medalist at the European Championships. From 1984-2004 Steingräber was wrestling coach at Polizeisportverein Rostock and was also Regional Olympic Center coach at Mecklenburg-Vorpommern. He died from cancer in 2006.
