Wrestler Adolf Rieger won the silver medal at the 1928 Amsterdam Games in the Greco-Roman light heavyweight class. He had won the German heavyweight title in 1924 and light-heavyweight title in 1927. In 1926 he made his only international appearance, against Denmark. In 1931 he was one of the co-founders of Berliner KV.
