Biography
Of Italian descent, flyweight wrestler Maria Sabatini was eliminated in the second round of the 1972 München Olympics in the freestyle competition. He finished an unfortunate fourth at both the 1973 and 1975 European Championships, and in 1972 finished fifth. Domestically, Sabatini won seven West German national titles, and later co-owned a fitness studio in Freiburg.
