Biography

Armand Magyar began wrestling in the colours of MTE in 1915. Between 1918-27 he won five individual Hungarian titles, and in 1925-26 the team event. Magyar participated in the 1924 Paris Olympics and the following year won the European title in Milano. He won bronze at the Europeans in both 1926 and 1927. After his active career he worked as a trainer, and between 1953-55 was a state coach in Poland.
