Biography

Árpád Szántó started to wrestle in the colors of BAK. At the 1912 Hungarian Championship, he finished second and was qualified for the Stockholm Olympics where he lost his first match and was eliminated. Szántó won the 1918 Hungarian league title as a lightweight, and in the same weight class he won the 1919 military championship. At the end of his career, he wrestled with the MAC team and later also coached them.
