Biography

Mansour Diagne was a staple of the Senegalese national basketball team during the 1960s and played in several editions of the Africa Cup. The pinnacle of his international career, however, came when he was selected to represent his country in the tournament at the 1968 Mexico City Olympics. There, Senegal was eliminated in the preliminary round and placed 15th overall. Domestically he spent much of his career with the Police Team and, after his retirement, took up coaching. In addition to a stint with the national team, he also coached the Police team in Senegal and local clubs in France, where he lived much of his later life.
