Biography

Kendall Cross won a bronze medal at the 1986 World Junior Championships and then attended Oklahoma State University, where he won the 1989 NCAA Championship. Cross wrestled at the 1992 and 1996 Olympics, winning bantamweight gold in 1996. He was a three-time US Champion, and was voted the outstanding freestyler at the 1992 and 1995 US Nationals.

After college, Cross served as an assistant coach at the University of North Carolina. He later became a coach for the Sunkist Kids and the Dave Schultz Wrestling Club. Kendall eventually settled in Boston where he worked as a wrestling coach at Harvard and also worked, for a time, with Merrill Lynch.
