Biography

Jean Hepworth crewed for Roy Mitchell at Burnham-on-Crouch where they were seen racing Mitchell´s star class Carlarena. In 1937 the pair got married. In 1960 Jean and Roy competed in the star class in the Gulf of Naples at the Roma Olympics and finished 24th, with a 16th position in race one being their best finish. Sadly Roy died when just 63-years-of-age, while Jean outlived him for almost 38 years until dying at the age of nearly 94.
