Curt Andstén was an engineer from Helsinki and the son of a sea captain. He was a crew member of the Finnish yacht “Örn”. Although the boat placed third in both races of the 8 metres class at the Stockholm Olympics they missed the bronze medal race ranking fourth on accumulated points. His brother Jarl was also a member of the crew. Curt was also active in the Finnish Equestrian Association. He died aged 44 in a car accident.
