Biography

Riccardo De Sangro Fondi was an Italian sailor. Born in 1879 in Napoli as a nobleman of the De Sangro family with the title of Count, he competed in the 1936 Berlin Olympics at age 56, in the Star class, helming the Pegaso boat alongside Federico De Luca. They finished ninth with 34 points. De Sangro Fondi was the oldest Italian athlete at the Berlin Olympics.
