Two years after graduating from Middlebury Jim Hunt won an Olympic gold medal in Naples, Italy sailing as crew with Dave Smith on the boat skippered by George O’Day. In 1968, Hunt won the Clifford D. Mallory Cup, symbolic of the North American Sailing Champion. He is currently president of a sailboat building company in Tampa, Florida.
