Biography

Ho Lien Siew was part of the Singaporean delegation for the basketball tournament at the 1956 Melbourne Olympics. Ho played in four of the team’s seven matches where he scored 12 points. Singapore finished the tournament in 13th place with victories over Thailand and South Korea. After the Olympics Ho played in three editions of the South East Asian Peninsula Games (1959, 1961, 1965), winning a bronze medal in 1961, and then competed at the 1962 Asian Games. He continued to play basketball at a competitive level until he was 50, before working as a coach until he was 82.
