Biography
Albert Martin was one of the 10 crew members aboard Thomas Glen-Coats’ Hera, which won gold in the 12-metre class at the 1908 Olympics. Like all the other members of the crew, Martin was a member of the Royal Clyde Yacht Club, which happened to be the venue for the 12-metre event at the 1908 Games. Hera won each of the two races to take the gold medal.
