Florian, brother of Markus Schneeberger, was an Austrian sailor participating at the 1996 Atlanta Summer Olympics. He partnered Andreas Hagara in the multihull tornado class, and the pair finished an unfortunate fourth. Together they won three medals in the European Tornado Championships, gold in 1996, and silver in 1993 and 1995.
Schneeberger later became an industrial project manager and chief technology officer of the machine automation division of ABB (a leading technology company in the fields of electrification and automation) from 2022. He was promoted to division leader in 2025.
