Markus, brother of Florian Schneeberger, was an Austrian sailor participating in the 1992 Barcelona Summer Olympics. He sailed the two-men heavyweight dinghy (flying dutchman) class with Stephan Schurich. The pair finished 16th. In the three-men keelboat (soling) class, Schneeberger won a silver medal in 2002 and gold in 2004 at the European Championships.
