Biography

Heinrich Schaarschmidt was a Finnish sailor who represented Helsingfors Segelklubb in Helsinki. In 1960 Schaarschmidt, along with compatriots René Nyman and Lasse Dahlman, competed in the Dragon class at the Roma Olympics. After a poor start to the competition, the Finnish crew had a couple of top-ten finishes in the later races, but only managed to finish 17th overall.
