Austrian sailor Kurt partnered his brother Ernst Seidl at the 1972 München Olympics when the sailing events were held at Kiel. They sailed the two-person heavyweight dinghy Flying Dutchman class, and placed 18th.
The same year Kurt ran his first sailing and boat accessories shop at Salzburg, which soon expanded to include windsurfing and snowboard sales. In 2003, Kurt’s sons Michi (professional sailor and tornado European Champion) and Berni (World Cup windsurfer) took over the shop, and other action sports such as kitesurfing and skateboarding moved into the premises.
