Austrian sprinter and hurdler Mathilde Puchberger was the national champion in the 4×100 metres relay (1929-1932) and 80 metres hurdles (1930-1934, 1936). She participated in the 1936 Berlin Olympics over 80 metres hurdles but was eliminated in her heat. Domestically, Puchberger represented Wiener (Vienna) AF.
