Biography

Track & field athlete Marianne Schläger was Austrian champion in the 100 metres (1941), 4×100 metres relay (1940), shot put (1938, 1942, 1949), discus throw (1947-48), and pentathlon (1946, 1949). She was selected to represent her country at the 1948 London Olympics. There, she placed 12th in the shot and 15th in the discus.

Personal Bests: SP – 12.61 (1949); DT – 41.69 (1949).
