Biography

Track & field athlete Ilse Steinegger was Austrian high jump and long jump champion in 1943, 1947, and 1949. Therefore, she was selected to represent her country at the 1948 London Olympics. Steinegger finished seventh in high jump and tenth in long jump.

Personal Bests: HJ – 1.58 (1947); LJ – 5.52 (1948).
