Wilfried Siegele was the Austrian champion in 20 km walk in 1979-80, and 50 km champion in 1981-1984. His brother Hans was Austrian 10 km and 20 km track walk champion in 1978, and 50 km champion in 1980 and 1985-86. The siblings participated in the 1980 Moskva (Moscow) Olympics. Hans came 22nd over 20 km while Wilfried did not finish the course.
Wilfried Siegele became a graduated lawyer, and in 2010 became senior public prosecutor in Feldkirch. From 1990, he was a judge at Landeck and Reutte and at the Innsbruck Regional Court. From 1991 he was the public prosecutor at Innsbruck, and from 2008 was head of a public prosecutor’s group.
