Biography

Long distance runner Rudolf Wöber competed in the 1934 European Championships but did not finish the marathon. He was Austrian champion at 10,000 metres in 1933 and 1936, 25 km in 1936-37, marathon in 1938, 1940-41, and 1950, and cross-country 1936-37. At the 1936 Berlin Olympics Wöber placed 15th over 10,000 metres and 22nd in the marathon. Domestically, he represented Cricket Wien (Vienna).

Personal Bests: 10000 – 31:29.6 (1941); Mar – 2-34:28 (1941).
