Biography

Mario Marques was a Brazilian track and field athlete who represented Vasco da Gama in Rio de Janeiro. Marques competed as a sprinter and won silver as part of the 4 x 100 metres relay quartet at the 1931 South American Championships in Athletics in Buenos Aires. The following year he ran in the 100 metres at the 1932 Los Angeles Olympics. He was also scheduled to run in both relay races at the Los Angeles Games but did not start in either.
