William Forsyth was a Canadian long-distance runner from Saint Mary’s, Ontario. Forsyth specialised in the marathon and finished 15th in that event at the 1912 Stockholm Olympics. He was young when he died in July 1939 at the age of only 48. Forsyth was the grand-uncle of racewalker Evan Dunfee, who won bronze at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics.
