Biography

Betty Kretschmer had the following podium finishes at major championships: 1st in the 1951 Pan American Games Long Jump, 2nd in the 1951 Pan American Games 4×100 metres Relay (with Adriana Millard and the non-Olympians Eliana Gaete and Kreft), 3rd in the 1955 Pan American Games 4×100 metres Relay (with the non-Olympians Elda Selamé, Eliana Gaete, and Teresa Venegas). Kretschmer also finished fourth in the 1951 Pan American Games 200 metres.

Personal Bests: 100 – 12.0 (1956); 200 – 25.1 (1956).
