Biography

Shooting guard Jochen Pollex was on the West German basketball team at the 1972 München Olympics. The team lost both the classification match for places 9-12 against Australia by only one point (70-69), and also lost the 11th place match by one point against Spain (84-83). He earned 136 international caps. Domestically, Pollex played with TSV Hagen 1860 (1966-67), SSV Hagen (1967-69 and 1972-76, West German champion in 1974), and TuS 04 Leverkusen (1969-72, West German champion from 1970–1972, and West German cup winner in 1970 and 1971). Pollex later started a coaching career in Hagen.
