Biography

A finalist in both sprints at the 1906 AAA Championships, Henry Pankhurst came third in the 100 y and was runner-up to Claude Jupp in the 220 y. He also reached the final of the AAA 220 y in 1910 but, despite winning his heat, was outside the podium places in the final. He was Northern champion at 100 y (1908-09) and 220 y (1908, 1910), having made his championship début at Belle Vue, Manchester in 1905

Personal Bests: 100y – 10.4 (1906/09); 100 – 11.5 (1908); 220y – 22.8 (1906).
