Oskar Gustafsson played as a midfielder for various clubs in Stockholm: 1907–11 for Eriksdals IF, 1912–15 for Johanneshofs IF and 1916 for Djurgårdens IF before he joined Hammarby IF, where he remained for the rest of his career in 1924. Gustafsson won two caps representing Sweden in two friendlies against Finland (1912) and Norway (1916). He was an unused reserve of the Swedish team at the 1912 Olympic Games. He worked as a mechanic.
