Biography

Midfielder Liang Rongzhao played the 1927-28 season for the Hong Kong South China Boy Scouts in the Group C League. In the following season, he was promoted directly to the Group A team of the South China Athletic Association, placing second in the championships. At the 1934 Far Eastern Games, Liang Rongzhao was the right midfielder of the Chinese team that won the championship. One year later, he won the championship at the Sixth National Games representing Hong Kong.

Selected for the team at the 1936 Berlin Olympics, Liang lost his place as right midfielder in the starting formation playing against Great Britain to Xu Yahui. In the 1940-41 season, Hong Kong’s Sing Tao club entered the stage and Liang joined them. He returned to South China after the Sino-Japanese War and was still active in Hong Kong League One.
