Biography

Paolo Vannucci was a football goalkeeper but played many sports in his life, including athletics, boxing, tennis, and gymnastics. Vannucci was very young when he began to play football with Carrarese Calcio, his hometown team. He played with Carrarese, in the Third Division, until 1934-35, appearing in 80 matches, and then played for AC Pisa in the Second Division. He was also a student in Pisa was selected as an alternate for the 1936 Olympic team. Vannucci left football when only 25-years-old and began a career as a lawyer, focusing on labor disputes.
