Biography

Middle-distance runner Sabine Zwiener qualified for the 1992 Barcelona Olympics in the 800 metres, but was eliminated in the semi-finals, a performance she repeated at the 1993 Worlds. At the European Indoors Zwiener earned a gold medal in 1988 and a silver medal in 1990. In the same years she won German indoor titles. In 1987 and 1993 she was runner-up at the West German and German outdoor championships.

Personal Best: 800 – 1:59.33 (1988).
