Biography

Wing-half Frederick Atkins did not win any international honours at football, but was selected as one of the non-travelling reserves for the Great Britain squad for the 1912 Stockholm Olympics. At the time, Atkins was serving as a lieutenant with the 3rd (Prince of Wales’s) Dragoon Guards, Machine Gun Corps. He served overseas and received the Victory Medal, British Medal and 1915 Star.
