Biography

At the 1972 München Olympics decathlete Hans-Joachim Perk retired after the third event due to an injury. He was educated as an electrical engineer but eventually worked as the Head of the Municipal Office for Sports and Baths in Göttingen. He was also CEO of the Sports and Leisure Company of Göttingen. In his later years he loved to sail on his 14-m-yacht “Aquamarin”.
