Biography

High jumper Theo Püll finished seventh at the 1960 Roma Olympic Games. At the 1958 Europeans he was fifth. He won West German titles in high jump in 1956-61, also winning indoors in 1956 and 1958-61. He later married pentathlete Ute Spitzkowski, and their daughter Hilke Püll became a nationally successful pentathlete. Theo Püll later headed the ship cleaning company in Bremerhaven established by his father-in-law.
