Ioannis “John” Moralis was a Greek track and field athlete who competed in racewalking. Moralis was born in Greece but later moved to the United States where he was known as John Moralis. In 1931 he won a six-and-one-quarter-mile handicap walk around Central Park in New York. The following year he participated in the 50 kilometres racewalk at the 1932 Los Angeles Olympics but did not finish the course. He remained in the United States for the rest of his life, dying in Queens, New York in 1982.
