Biography

Eleftherios Papasymeon was a Greek distance runner who represented Amarousi. Papasymeon was one of the 17 men who competed in the marathon at the 1896 Athína Olympics. Originally deemed to have finished in sixth, he was upgraded to fifth place after it had emerged that Spyridon Belokas had taken a carriage for a short part of the race.
