Biography

Sándor Jakabfy was a good sprinter/long jumper for Hungary in the late 1950s. He competed at the 1958 European Championships in the 100 and 4×100, and at the World Universiade in 1954 (6th in the long jump) and 1957 (4th in the 100 and 6th in the 200). He was Hungarian champion at 100 metres in 1957 and ran on the national champion 4×200 relay team in 1955. In 1957 he equaled the Hungarian national record with 10.4 for 100 metres. Between 1955-58 he competed in 21 events at the Hungarian national championships.

Personal Bests: 100 – 10.4 (1957); 200 – 21.3 (1957); LJ – 7.35 (1955).
