Ferenc Molnár started his sports career in the colors of the SzTC. He competed primarily in long jump and triple jump. He had his first success in 1922, becoming national champion in long jump as an unknown athlete outside from Budapest. In that year he moved to MAC. In 1928, he took second position in triple jump in the Hungarian championship, so he could only take part in the Olympics at his own expense. After the Olympics he did not achieve any significant result.
