Biography

Mahadeo Singh was born in 1888 and went on to represent India as a long-distance runner. Of the seven Indian track and field athletes sent to the 1924 Paris Olympics, Singh was the only entrant to compete in the marathon. He finished 29th out of the 30 athletes to finish the race, almost an hour behind the winning time of Albin Stenroos.
