Stefano Natale was an Italian marathon runner who won the 1926 Italian Championship. At the 1927 London Marathon Natale led for 15 miles, but finished second after being overtaken by Britain’s Sam Ferris. In 1928 Natale was second in the pre-Olympic race at Bologna on 8 July over 38 km and was selected for the Olympic event in Amsterdam. He had to retire from the Olympic race after developing stomach problems.
