Biography

Giovanni Tosi was a 400 metre runner who competed at the 1920 Antwerpen Olympics, although he was eliminated in the first round. Tosi’s best year was 1922 when he was undefeated in Italy, although he did not contest the national championship. In 1923 Tosi was runner-up at the Italian nationals in the 400.

Tosi also played football and was a left wing for six seasons with Busto Arsizio’s Pro Patria. He made his First Category début against Pro Patria in Cremona on 24 October 1920, scoring a goal.

Personal Best: 400 – 51.2 (1922).
